MEMORANDUM FOR 2010 NGAUS Attendees
SUBJECT: NGAUS Conference 20-24 August at Austin, TX
1. The 132nd NGAUS General Conference is rapidly approaching. The board of directors thanks you in advance for your support and participation in this outstanding event.
2. Those staying in our conference hotel, the Sheraton Austin Hotel, 701 East 11th Street, Austin, TX 78701 are reminded our room rate is $145.00 per night plus taxes, daily parking at the hotel is $15 (overnight) and $24 valet. Note taxes and fees are subject to change and are the individual’s responsibility to pay. Your room deposit submitted with your registration form will be credited to your room account.
3. All Business Meetings, Caucuses and States Dinner will all be held at the Austin Convention Center. The Governors’ Reception will be held at the Travis County Exposition Center, transportation will be provided.
4. The Oklahoma hospitality room number is 1600. Drop by and pick up your conference registration packets anytime Friday 20 August. You can not enter any event facilities without proper conference identification. TAG has requested that everyone meet in the hospitality room for a quick meeting at 1630 on Friday 20 August. The registration packets can be picked up at this time also.
5. NGAUS offers Professional Development in conjunction with the conference. Attendance is important at these sessions. More members will be allowed to attend the conference on orders in future years, partially based on the success of these sessions. A copy of the schedule of events and business agenda are also attached. For those going on orders for Professional Development, this training is MANDATORY.
6. Uniform: Business Sessions: Class B (short-sleeved shirt, slacks, headgear);
States Dinner: Texas formal (Blue jeans, white shirt, western boots) No Mess Dress this year.
