Auxiliary

PURPOSE

To provide an opportunity for the spouses, families and friends to understand the Oklahoma National Guard's responsibilities and functions of their members.

To provide a statewide organization to encourage and support local groups with common interests.  To provide opportunities to organize and promote said interest.

To provide an opportunity to associate and to enjoy the fellowship of the other members with common interests.

To support members of the National Guard of the state of Oklahoma in the accomplishment of matters toward the best interests of the Guard.

To serve as a channel through which the voice of Oklahoma National Guard members and their families can be effective in their legislative efforts for the improvement and retention of benefits for members of the Guard.

 

Color Purple

The Auxiliary is often represented by the color purple, here is the reason behind our choice.

 

When you combine:

GREEN for the Army

BLUE for the Air

And add:

RED for the blood

sacrificed you get

PURPLE the Oklahoma Auxiliary Color as Side by Side WE stand with PRIDE!

MOTTO

"The Guardsman's Family---The Key to Security"

The Oklahoma National Guard Auxiliary feels the family plays an important part in the Guard.  A citizen soldier is a better soldier if his family understands and supports his/her role in the Guard.  The security of our nation and the success of the Guard can be linked to the Guardsman's family.
