CPT Lavonda Cathey is married to CCM (Ret.) Drate Cathey they reside in Okay, OK. CPT Cathey attended Connors State College and Northeastern State University receiving her Bachelor of Business Administration with focus in Accounting/Finance in December 2004. She currently works at Camp Gruber Training Center as a the Management Analyst and assigned as Camp Gruber's first female HHC Commander. She enlisted in the Oklahoma Army National Guard in December 1991. She was enlisted for 15 years before attending Officer Candidate School and received her Commission August 2006. Upon completion of Finance Basic Officer Leadership Course she deployed with the 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team to Baghdad, Iraq as a Finance Officer serving in the Multi-National Forces- Iraq Joint Area Support Group. CPT Cathey has been an active member of NGAOK for over 15 years serving in positions such as the Junior Enlisted Representative and the NGAOK Treasurer.  She is a life member of NGAOK, Life Associate of EANGUS, Reserve Officers Association, Military Officers Association of America, American Society of Military Comptrollers, Finance Corp Association, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
